Hoop Earrings
One style of earring that definitely stands the test of time is the ever-popular hoop earrings. Hoop earrings are semi-circular or circular in design, and are available in the traditional metals of silver, gold, and platinum, and range in size from the smallest of hoops (huggies) to the largest of hoops (baseball sized).
Of course, if drama is what you want, choose the larger hoop … if an understated look is more your fashion goal, … then of course, choose the more modest smaller hoops. Be on the lookout though for some original looking hoops as well as some hoop earrings are molded to resemble such shapes as stars and hearts.
Additionally, there are hoop earrings out there that are embellished with ornate jewels for added interest. If you are looking for durability, hoop earrings made of platinum, 18 Karat gold, or sterling silver definitely can withstand plenty of use.
