September’s Birthstone: Sapphire
Although sapphires are most popular for their deep rich blue color, sapphires are available in all colors of the spectrum excluding red. Prized for their durability today, sapphires were revered by individuals in religious and magical circles in ancient times. Some individuals even believed that the Ten Commandments were written on sapphire. Today, sapphires are still highly respected jewels, and top-quality sapphires are a rarity.
