How Much Do Emeralds Cost?Depending on the quality of an individual emerald, the cost of this precious green jewel can vary widely in price.
Specifically, those emeralds with deep green color saturation that have the fewest inclusions are the highest priced emeralds because of their desirability and rarity in the jewel marketplace. In fact, the finest of emeralds are even more valuable than the ever popular diamonds due mostly to their rarity.
Of course, the cut of an emerald can also greatly affect the value of an emerald. If the gem has been cut in the appropriate manner, more light and color will return to the eye, and thus, the emerald will be pleasing to look at. Additionally, the more an emerald has been artificially enhanced, the less valuable the stone will be.
